Darren Johns We are thrilled to announce that Darren has been selected as one of three finalists for the 2016 AFA Adviser of the Year award. The AFA (Association of Financial Advisers) has been the authentic voice on the value of advice and the AFA Adviser of the Year award promotes a more trusted, robust and diverse profession for the future of the industry. Since 2003, this prestigious award recognises excellence in financial advice for advisers who sit at the very pinnacle of their profession.

Darren was shortlisted for the award and progressed to the Final 3 after a multi-stage screening process that consists of an independent nomination, detailed application , 60 minute telephone interview, 4 hour site visit and client survey (thank you to our clients who took part in this survey). Darren has just returned from the finalist showcase where he delivered a presentation to the 7 judges and was then subject to 45 minutes of interview style questioning. The presentation took place at the very funky VNR Creative Studios in Surry Hills (click the link to check out some photos of Darren in action!)

The Align Financial team will be attending the gala dinner at the AFA National Adviser Conference in Canberra on 7th October where the winner will be announced – we will keep you all posted!
